Catalyst for new exhaust sys (EG VTi)

Hiya people! I've booked an appointment with the exhaust shop down in Box Hill to have a system fitted. But, i'm in the market for a new catalyst. I found one off a MY02 WRX STi for 50 bux, but I dunno whether it'll fit or not. Its a 2.5" and the exhaust piping is 2.25". I know the diameters are difference, but could they mate up somehow?

Any ideas on this one? and whether it'd be a good investment?

Heres the link! : STi Catalyst

    U mean catalytic convertor??
Umm yeah they "should" be able to make it fit.
I dont know how well a second hand one would be though? It may be too "used" etc and therefore wont do a very good job at what its supposed to do..

IMO dont bother with that one. You need to pay decent $$$ for a good hi flow cat. For a start , basic xforce or catco etc ones are about $200-300 , and "hi flow" . You can get better quality ones for up to $1k +
    Get new tho !

Hit Trav up at Underground Imports mate - he sells Xforce ones at a great price. That's what I got on my system (5zigen headers and Spoon Bpipe + N1 tip).

Wouldn't bother with a used one..... esp not off a turbo car.
