    breather on catch can?

    whats the point of a breather on a catch can?

    to stop the pressure build up in the head which stops oil coming out of your oil cap...

    Breathers on catch cans are a defectable item. You can't vent any gases from the engine directly into the atmosphere without going through the cat.

    the OEM positive crank case ventelation system takes care of that...

    so any point of a breather? better to have or not to have?

    better not to have one on a catch can...

    the catch can shoudl be plumbed back into the intake manifold as it is supposed to be part of an emissions system...

    that's what i thought, and with the breather it wouldn't really be plumber back..

    thanks for the insight.

    would there be much point if you see the occassional mountain pass?
