    d15b2 vtec interchangeale with d16y vtec parts ?

    As topic mentions does anyone know what parts are interchangeable with the d15b vtec and the d16y vtec?

    alot of parts between these 2 particular engines are interchangable. the heads are very very similiar in particular.

    Had a 1990 ED Civic
    I have done the swap for the D15B VTEC engine(does not have a '2' on the end of it either)

    From the headgasket up, the engine is essentially a D16 SOHC VTEC engine.

    The water pump, timing belt, rear main oil seal and everything else below the headgeasket is a Australian delivered D15B VTEC-E engine, used in the VEi Civic.

    PM me if you want exact part numbers for anything
