Needs the b pipe for any gains (custom or otherwise)
wait till you get the b-pipe.... bc3 is louder..but this one gives the bc3 a run for its money... definitely need the silencer for street... beautiful rumble of V-Tec through the trees!!

i don't have one yet but am shopping around for my 2000 em1 civic vtir coupe.

is a custom cat-back exhaust system as good as brand name one like greddy, apexi etc?

    any recommendations? thanks!

my priority is increased performance. ideally with medium sound (not over the top) subtle but noticeable.

hmmm fujitsubo... above axle bolt on sleeper with good gains... speak to most of the boys who have em... quiet before vtec

RM-01A and power getter around $1000-$1200

otherwise go a spoon cat back that's what i've got... awesome vtec sound... awesome power gains... also an above axle... spoon is about $1800

when you say above axle, does that mean half way to the cat?

no above axle just means the piping near the rear axle will go over the top of it instead of going under

going under will mean that it will most likely scrap if your car is lowered heaps since under axle would mean that the piping is closer to the ground.
