Which part are you not sure about?

hardest/trickiest part would be getting your timing belt on correctly and torquing up the headbolts and the camshaft installation.

Ok then again that is the main thing that is involved LOL

It also depends on how hands on you are and if you've done anything 'mechanical' before. I'm sure someone can post up a service manual with some pics if you want

I thought you stopped doing Nissans after that mess in your garage.

But a headgasket change DIY would be a nice addittion *hint*

I have a lot of online manuals that I can post here but I don't want ot post a lot of pics and take up all the space! What make and model, better yet engine code?

make sure the cams are locked in place

fly wheel locked in place and belt marked out on cams and belt to c if the crank moves etc.

disconnect intake manifold .. nething that connects to the head ..

then im thinking the head is machined flat and the block is prepped...

new gasket put on block with a bit of red loctite gasket sealer then put ur head back on

then put ur timing belt back on making sure the marks are all the same

remove locking bolts from cams and flywheel

wind the crank over 2 times to make sure everything is ok and not hitting on anything.

    then install everything bak on.

thats what i believe is involved.
