    my car is a 99 VTI-R auto....

    how about yours?
I'd say ur car is stuffed, my lude does more than 650 per tank and thats with the occasional boot.

well i got mine fully serviced every 5k's.

but in recent even, it become a bit friendly now...average 450km for a tank.

may be the quaility of the fuel? i was using shell and switch to BP

    mine is 55L tank....

i think sometime the quailiy of the fuel may differ, such as mix with some king of cooking oil ( what is that thing call again?)

only 50kms difference in a whole tank. i actually experienced it myslef

For a 4cyl, anything sub 600KM for a 55/60L tank is pretty bad.

This does give me something to think about, I'm upgrading from a Lancer which gives me a touch under 500 for 35L. I used to own a commondore, and it's 500KM for 60L PISSED me off.

Maybe I should rethink and go a Type R

if you want to save money on fule get a 3cyc car, that will save you more.

    more power=more fuel

    not necessarily mate..

I've seen an approx 120kw (at the wheels) h22a prelude that has a fuel economy of close to 600 kms per fillup.

Its all in the tuning matey.. and the programmable ecu that lets you tune it.
