That is a very fast time for that car, methinks. A lightly worked CRX SiR - 960kg at stock with factory b16a will pull high 14s. By lightly worked I mean CAI, exhaust, larger throttle body and ITR style intake manifold. I think this is lighter than the Civic. The radiator and rocker cover might save 10kg on stock (unlikely).

Do they specify the weight of the vehicle anywhere? (Can't be bothered reading the entire article). It does seem a bit far fetched! With aggressive cams and a very good tune I could understand it.

13.1 and theres still more in the way of tuning.

Nah doesn't specify weight anywhere. GSI-PSi integra doesnt even run those times and his is turbod.

Must be some secret crazy ass tuning haha.

slicks = -1 second off ur 1/4mile time.
also its a high compression b16a (type-r head) in a stripped EG. 14seconds is attainable.

while its not something you would expect i'm willing to believe it.
no doubt it is running a good tune along with the type r head ie cams etc and unknown compression though likely towards the 12:1 range. stripped with slicks. a 60' time would be good to gain a better understanding but.....
i always laugh when ppl say such and such car car does X sec down the quarter so its not possible that another car does another time.
the mention of a SIR CRX doing high 14's with those mods mentioned is not a good benchmark. have a good read around and you'll find dyno evidence that a larger TB and ITR intake manifold on an internally stock B16A will often lose power, so that car is probably capable of better with stock items lol.
this car stock would weigh less than 1000kg as its the very base model.
