Its impossible. There are very limited rules to posting in this site so anyone can post any random chit-chat they want really.
BTW as i said you HAVE to think before posting up...We dont HAVE to be anal here and demand anything but every person here has the right to a say in anything here really. That is what brings us up to this Thread in the site discussion.

Most of us already have had our say - some of us think its not an issue while others certainly do (hence this thread) but in reality I cannot see and issue at all. All i can suggest ( yet again) is to always PM a moderator or have a think about your post BEFORE posting it. Someone might be offended and you never know the repocussions...

It's just another thread created in the lounge...
If you see no interest in the thread, you can just simply ignore it..its as simple as that...I mean i personally don't read every single possible thread created in the lounge...

my question is...why does anyone really get that upset that they'd want the thread closed in the first place?
do you all whinge about every little thing that you see that you dont like? more than likely NO, you ignore it, and get on with doing something more productive.

imo, it is the keyboard warriors who stir shit about insignificant things like this that should be silenced, not those who exercise their right to speak their language, be it english/cantonese/german/ireallydontcarewhatelse.

the only point i see yet to be raised is, is this thread moderated by someone who speaks cantonese...and if so, then everyone else should can it and let the mods do their job!

Thats wat i mean guys, like no one seems to be disagreeing with the points that have been put forward, which indicates that it should be fine to start another.
I know exactly where bennjamin is coming from tho.
Its not worth stirring shiet up by making another thread.
But say if in a few months time, some other person decides it'll be cool to make a thread like this, are we goin to close it or leave it open?
I think we should, or the voices from above should say yay or nay to this.

i looked at the "cantonese thread" and laughed, im from an arabic speaking background and the only words of canto i know are: "Jinuu? Do sao chen?", and im not even sure if its cantonese, all i know is my chinese mate told me to say it to some chinese chik he knew

so i posted the only canto i knew, the thread stated, no english allowed, so i adhered by the rules and spoke in wat i know as canto, lol, otherwise i ignored the thread

i didnt feel any1 was being "racist" towards me coz i didnt know any canto, as some1 stated b4, it was 1 thread in THE LOUNGE, off topic general discussion, being in the lounge, i dismissed it for spam in another language and looked for other threads to read, if there was a canto only thread in the noob or civic area, then that would be a problem as i may be missing out on some important info coz i didnt know any canto

besides, cmon, its one silly thread in the lounge, ffs, some ppl are stirring up a shit storm over a couple of bored OH members who want to spam their assez off in a whole new way, i rekon keep the canto thread, its not racist to any1, its all fun and gamez ppl, chill
