    DIM switch problem..

can any one help me, i tried the search but didnt help.. here's the situation..
i tried to connect my head unit and apparently there was more cables coming from the cars cable than the deck it self..
some how it short-circuit and made the whole dim light off..
the tacko lights, the rear brakes dim light, the front dim lights all dont work..
is it the fuse problem or other..? any suggestions..?
    btw, it's a dc5r..

well i replaced the fuse under the bonnet it was a (15amp) fuse that busted..
it may have been busted becouse i tried to connect the head unit whiles the car is on (in a rush)..
everything is on now except the head unit (still dead),
i've tried taking the battery cable off (+ve only), no effect..
is it just my deck or does the dc5 head unit cables has 2 extra cables (red) and whats it for..?
plus, why does it reset everytime i switch off my ignition..?
