Post [DIY] CD5 Accord Indicators/Park lights conversion.

Disclaimer: The following is provided as a GUIDE ONLY, and neither myself nor Ozhonda take any responsibility for the outcomes of someone else doing the following. You follow these steps at your own risk!

Aim: To turn the front bumper indicators into park lights.. And turn the park lights into indicators.

Required: Philips head screw driver, Electrical tape, Soldering Iron, Scissors, 2m of electric wires, Halo headlights.. but should be the same thing with normal headlights.

Other comments: Indicators will blink fast after this conversion is done.

    Steps:
    1. You can choose to remove the front bumper to make things easier but i didnt bother. Firstly, remove the bumper indicators using the philips head screw driver.

    2. Unplug the socket from the bulb holder.

    3. Cut the 2 wires from the socket.

    4. Cut 50cm of wire and solder onto the wires that you just cut and put electrical tape around it.

    5. Stick it back into the bumper leading it upwards to where the headlights are.

    6. Unplug the park lights and cut the 2 wires to connect the new wires to the park light plug. Solder it and put electrical tape around it. If you turn on the blinkers, it should start blinking.

    7. Cut another 50cm of wire and connect it to the wires from where the park lights used to be connected to.

    8. Lead it down and through the bumper and connected it to the indicator plug. Solder and electrical tape it and test by turning the lights on.

    9. Do the same for the other side.

The results should be like this:

i knew it was going to but i wanted to try anyway. there's a way to fix it... prolli do it sometime in the near future.

i dont know if the bulb overheats... its been fine so far. prolli try to find a lower voltage bulb to stick in.

anything is possible. if you can fit those slim-line foglights in, then there should be no problem.
