all old hondas have this problem as the design of the fuel tank,

    No it isn't.

the fuel at half tank is dirtier, that's why it consumes more.

yea same here, when full tank i get like close to 300ks to half tank, and then like 160ks to empty if that makes sense lol :S

Fuel guages on these old Hondas are innacurate. last half goes quicker on my Em1 aswell.

    no its not.

car burns more fuel in last half cos fuel is dirtier.

but if that were true wouldn't it be worth your time to fill it up when you hit half full everytime?

well thats weird because mine chews through the first half a little bit faster i think, maybe because when you've got half a tank the cars a bit lighter?

in all honesty though i think a lot of people think they're losing fuel faster but it's just that sometimes they drive differently.

and yeah I've heard that fuel gauges mostly through the late 80's and the 90's are inaccurate as the needle only moves when the fuel level gets to certain points, although it moves very slowly...

please explain. Why is it dirtier, and why does it burn more?

I always check my fuel economy and if I fill up at half tank or fill up when the tank is close to empty, I have the same fuel economy reading. This makes your statement hard to believe. Inaccurate indicator would be more plausible. Correct me if I'm wrong.
