what do u mean by loose. Is it loose between the roof and the latch. Is its the hook,is it the spring, the strikers?? A few more details would help diagnose the problem.

yeh most S2000's pre 2003 will have this problem..

there is a service bulletin out to replace the latches for the roof..

mine need replacing too.. the metal plate with the indents for the latch on the A pillar get worn which creates play in the hook.. hence the roof rattling when u go over bumps in the road..

just get a replacement part from honda.. it just unbolts from the A pillar..
u just need to remove the plastic and u will see the bolt holding the plate onto the A pillar.. replace that then u should be fine..

if the hook on the latch is worn too replace them as well.. as the new design hook and plate fit much better together.. there is more bite on the hook and indent on the plate..

    hope that helps mate..

hey bro , follow the below link and read for tips on how to fix this problem.
I had a similar problem , new strikers will set you back $160 for the pair .
Best thing to try first is to swap the strikers over . follow the below link for the swapping instructions .
    hope this helps

We have just run a group buy on 06 stereo doors, coin slots and strikers. Strikers came in at about $80 so half the local price. We'll run another one shortly so watch this link:
