just wondering when you perform the immobiliser removal, does that mean you don't need the transponder in your key anymore? i.e. start the car from a blank key
or does it only stop your car from having fault codes when using an ecu from another car
however if you have a car with the IMMO-AO system, you remove the ECU immo, the chassis still has an Immo control module that looks for the transponder and then allows the stater motor to operate.
you would have to remove and bypass that module if you want to use non programed keys to start the car with such keys.
hi guys. new here, but being that i found the info that i needed, i like this place
i just bought a p73_A04 ecu from someone on honda-tech, and only after realized that it had the immobilizer.
after looking at the ecu, it seems it is a different revision as there are no printing marks on the back side. the stamp on the top side is A3Y-B 001AC-L5002-00.
has anyone successfully removed the immob. from this board and can shed some light for me on which jumpers i need to modify? second question, if it is not possible to remove the immobilizer from this ecu without breaking it out, and the check engine light is on, can it still pass emissions?
