    Honda civic gearbox

    simple question needing simple answer

    can the DC5R Gearbox be fitted to the New honda civic FD?

    i assumed it can since its a K series engine?
    but i just want confirmation

    generally honda build most of their parts interchangable between series.
    I'd give honda a call and ask them the part number of the different engines & ask them if they think it will fit.

    Reason why everyone is so quiet is that these are the new engines and not many people have one as yet. But know Honda they should as the b16 & b18 are interchangable.

    be careful , as perhaps the gearbox might fit the engine block BUT i doubt the driveshafts will fit the gearbox. You might need DC5 driveshafts...and they might be too long/short for the FD
