is that $900 over the cost of a normal windscreen?!

The Type R's have a lot of other bracing going on all round the chassis so it is believeable that they could sacrifice some strength in the windscreen if it is such a structurally important element.

Windscreens are responsible for holding a considerable amount of weight in the event of a flip, and also it will save your face come the day that a rock comes off some1s tilt truck and hits your windscreen.

With these two safety factors in mind, i do not see the justification in purchasing the lighter windscreen if you are only going to save a few kg. This weight can so easily be offset by
    -the sh1t up your ass
-the text books you have in the back
    -your subs and amp
-any large rounded lady you may be carrying.

If you wish to just have bragging rights, the above does not apply.
