    Exclamation b18 short block problem

    heya.

came across a b18c7 block. there is one concern on it.(see pic)
now, some have told me it will require boreing the block.
others say new sleeves. I have been told the pistons are ruined.

    i need a straight answer.

    and also a cost for:
    A) boreing it out 1.25mm
    B) replacing the itr sleeves.
    C) oversized pistons to suit

any info regaurding this is very welcome

*not the gouge in the middle cylinder..
    thanks
    Shane

    A) boreing it out 1.25mm bore and hone is about $120-150
    B) replacing the itr sleeves. Golden eagle sleeves are $2200
    C) oversized pistons to suit- aftermarket pistons $760-850

1.25 is probably on the high side...

i'd look at aftermarket sleeves, considering you're forking out for aftermarket rods in any event.
