Does ek vti-r gearbox fit eg6?

    Hey guys,

first of all i searched but couldnt find anything.. My gearbox has pretty much just shit itself, im gonna get it pulled apart to check it out, but im 90% sure i'll need to get a new box. ive tried a few jap wreckers but havent found any eg6 gearboxes!

I'm currently running an eg vti hatch with an eg6 b16a in it. I just wondered if ek vti-r gearboxes would fit if i cant find an eg6 one? if so is there any differences between the boxes as far as gear ratios and strength? thanks for your help

did u install the lsd gear box when u done the conversion?

because i hear that eg6 gearboxes come eqipped with LSD harness.

    and ek4 doesnt.

so my suggestion is. jus strengthen your gearbox u hav now.

    correct me if im wrong.

for the cost of a replacement box u could just get it rebuilt.
yeah it's pricey but at least you will know the condition of your box (as opposed to a lucky dip from a wrecker)

only prob i see is that you might have to change the cable sectors to link rods depending on which box you have.
