2006 Italian Grand Prix - Monza (discussion)

once we hit Monza.. we know the end of the seasons close.. ><"
    only 4 races to go..

anywayz Ferraris look very strong here.. they're usually the ones dominating the speed traps.. so things look good for em..
as for Alonso... he got penalized for blocking Massa on his last flying lap in Q3...so he'll start in P10...

Honda should have a double points finish... their long run pace looks decent..
    see wot happens...

Alonso could find himself in some trouble during the first corner.
Its very tight and he'll have at least 3-4 cars going for the same position as him.

I hope he breaks his suspension or something and Schumacher wins.
Make the remaining 4 round even more interesting.

A little bit unfair for Fag Alonso.

However, due to the air disturbance, one would have to agree he was blocking Massa.

Very unfortunate for Alonso. But I'm sure he'll make up positions somehow!

    Well, what an eventful race.

    1/ Alonso's penatly
    2/ Schumacher v Kimi
    3/ Kubica 3rd
    4/ Alonso engine failure
    5/ Michael Retiring

    Plus much more.
Alonso's penalty was harsh i must admit, but doing 350km/h with another F1 car in front of you at Monza would effect you. Maybe not as much as what they said but I still think it would.

I'm not a fan of this "new" chicane rule thing were you can outbreak yourself (thats how Alonso was infront of him) and then cut the chicane and say " I was ahead there" and not give the position back.
Alonso clearly was only ahead of him towards the apex due to him not braking for the corner.
He must of had no intension of making that corner, he must of missed his braking spot by 15 meters or so.

Kimi off to Ferrari now, BMW getting stronger and stronger, I can't wait for the remaining 3 races and then the start of next years!

Wow, Schuey is finally retiring. Very good timing, with a Monza win backing him up that he is quitting whilst still-on-top!

I think seeing that Raikkonen barely got pole with 2 laps less fuel, but having fastest lap time in the race - means their cars were similar enough and shows Schuey has what it takes to compete with Raikkonen. Even if he is to stay with Ferrari for next year.

I think even though Schuey didn't mention this, the fact that he beat Raikkonen on a similar performing car, on the day this guy is named as his replacement - would be significantly remembered in the long run!

Obviously Raikkonen seems to be naturally faster as he is younger and the reflexes are better too. Schuey is making more mistakes than usual, although I've noticed so does Alonso and Raikky (they can lock their brakes and/or understeer off the track sometimes!)

Very unfair to Alonso I must admit. He shouldn't have outbraked himself like that in the chicane to overtake..... In the end, its about time he had an engine failure as he was definitely frustrated and thrashing his Renault..... LOL

    who da fark is frasier?

no1 called frasier on the starting grid mate

and Honda F1s aim this year is to win races or at the very least get on podiums. thats the reason jenson was ordered to stop his car 5meters from the finish line at the australia gran prix where he would've gotten 5th

so i dun think it was well done jenson either. he should've been up on the podium. especially after his win at the hungaroring, we expect podiums
