air seems to act like liquid and fills whatever void it can ~ even more so "at speed" , so IMO these small lines are not influential at all to the airflow to the engine. Perhaps it might slightly change the internal resonance ~ but please prove otherwise on a dyno etc.
The ribs are supposedly meant to create turbulence in the intake air to boost low RPM torque. But then again, those ribs on the Jazz airbox are tiny that I don't think they do anything! Look at the ones on the Euro:
I'm not really sure about that theory. The Comptech Icebox and Mugen Airbox for the Euro both don't have those ribs inside and both of them produce more low end torque than stock.

The Icebox and Mugen box have larger volume as well.
removing the ribs should at least marginally increase the volume of the box, with your other modifications I'm sure you haven't lost anything. At worse it's made no difference at best you got some power for free :P
Claymore , no one is knocking your effort Just with all things , its good to see proof ( with any mod...$0-$1k plus etc).
You can run a dyno for $50...for 2 or 3 runs on a Dyno day - wait up for one and see if there is any difference for yourself
^^ nah, he didn't do this for power. Just did it for fun to try it out as he found that the airbox cover was cheap at his dealer. I don't think it's worth spending $50 to dyno a mod like this. Just like I wouldn't dyno my dodgy cold air feed.
