There are few people in adelaide that would be happy to look at it or just post a pic of your engine bay and that should clear up alot of confusion. (and maybe a pic of your ECU.)

My V-tiR teg kicks in about 4500 (small engage) but then screams at the 6000 mark. 4500 all the time without fail as I can hear the note of the engine change instantaniously

Stock ECU im running as well too.

I understand why you might be put off of them. They're not all like that though. Very much like destrukshn said. There are some good ones. I'm pretty sure we've all got nightmare scenario's that have happend due to dodgy mechanics. Think posative m8.

why has no one seen the sense in this?? the type r's factory ecu will kick in vtec at ~ 5800 rpm. Since when did vtec engage in a type r at 4800rpm?? your thinking of a vtir integra aint ya??

if you read the post thoroughly, you will see that the difference in crossover has been explained and that B18C P72 motors have crossover earlier than B18C7 Type-R motors.

people actually say on the p72 heads (b18c2) the vtec feels like it kicks in in 2 stages.. once earlier than later..

not sure how technically correct that is
