    hey guys..
this has probably been answered many times before, but i just wanted to know if anyone could tell me exactly wats needed to be altered for a b16a swap. such as the tranny, drive shafts, exhuast?
i'd like to be able to do most the swap myself
and how complicated is the rewiring

    thanx

tranny- need a b series, hydro one
drive shafts- need the ek vti-r ones
exhaust- not sure, i think it needs modifying to fit a b series header. Get a new one anyway the cxi/gli one is shit.
    Vti-r rear mount bracket
    Vti-r front transmission bracket
    Alternator- ek vti-r
    Starter motor- ek vti-r
AC bracket- im not sure but u can reuse your ac compressor
PS- not sure on this one either.
Ecu- idealy you want to go obd1 but i believe it requires more work in this swap, if staying obd2 get a vti-r P2T ecu and harness.

thats pretty much it i think. If u get a half-cut all of it is included.

best way is to get a whole eg6 half cut..

Can you put an EG engine in an EK? I didn't think you could go older than the car...

  5. #5
Yeh I'm pretty sure it's illegal to put an older engine in a newer car..

and an eg6 halfcut won't have everything on it.

Pretty much everything I would think. What else would he need?
