    my new toy

    hey guys...
ive just taken possession of a sorely neglected 92 EG civic hatch from my bother.

firstly it needs to get back on the road cos its defected.
    too low
    too loud
    busted headlights
    oil leak

with a little TLC, i'll have a sweet lil jdm racer on my hands.

can anyone recommend a decent bodyshop?
i'm also wanting to source a b16a engine...
im in adalaide, can anyone help me out?

    cheers

this sounds promising, how about posting some photos of the unpolished gem. So we can all go back to them when its a JDM beast

Welcome rakeboy03..... Adelaide jap should have a B16a or B18c there for you.

ok guys... here's what im working with.

ive already pull off the damaged panels (hence no front end).

the interior is spotless as well.

    plan:

bring exterior up to standard (white)
OEM side skirts, front & rear bumper (all repainted of course)
    paint brake calipers red
paint mags (not pictured) gloss black
    white out decals on tyres
    tint windows
    security system
    decent sound system
    red recaro seats,
    red carpet
    spray all plastics black
transplant b16a or b18c instead of that carby piece of junk...

    ...have i missed anything?

Good to see the beast. I'd also add to that plan: get rid of air-horn.
Should be sweet once it's been reconditioned. Good luck with it all.

i dont know if you are using 2 scissor jacks to jack up the car but one day you'll regret not buying jack stands.
even if that was only one scissor jack and other side on bricks its very dangerous.

scissors jacks are only for emergencies.

dont fret peoples... i bought some stands that afternoon!!

also heading out to a jap wrecker to pick up the panels and a new horn tomorrow morning. its like being a kid in a candy store!!!

as for being reconditioned... that baby is outta there and a lightly tuned b16a is planned.

...theres so much stuff in the DIY section to do- i love it!

    hooray!! new parts acquired...

... type r front bar with amber spotties, front guard AND they threw the horn for free.

i wanted to take the whole front cut god damn it!!!

had the bare tyre stripped off the rims so i can DIY pant the rims.

such an exciting time to be alive!!

LOL. Where did you go? Did you go to Woodville Wreckers? They specialise in honda's i got most of my parts there. They had 2 EK9 wrecked there last time i checked but the b16b were gone =(.
