Thread: The Batmobile

Hey Beeza, just checked out the thread. I also run a D16Y4 so this gives me ideas

As for the ghetto air intake, you don't have any issues in regards to water getting into the pipework do you?

I have some plane along similar ideas but haven't had the time / patience to get around to it yet.

Nice car btw man! Look forward to seeing what you get up to next

Hi drops, thank u.I appreciate the kind words mate.

it's an 'open' System not enclosed. There's a few kinks.

The only way I could see water getting to where the filter is u were behind a truck say in the pouring rain.

And tbh I did that for a few minutes no problem.

Even if u went through a big puddle it wont get to the filter.

The air is pulled through by the intake aswell as being rammed in from the front.

U cant lose with this system.

Im all tech savy with an internet phone so I can get some pics and info up finally.

Videos added to previous page.page 157.

Next time I will strip the car like im going to the 1/4 mile and do another acceleration video and we can see the difference 120kg makes. (That is 2 dogs, door trims, spare wheel, bed in back etc)

And another when the stage 1 bisimoto cam is put in.

Added pics of the intake system. All done with 76mm pvc piping from the plumbing store.

The bonnet rubbers were removed a long time ago for airflow through the engine bay area.

I am sucking in hotter engine air in there but thiy is the best system for the dusty, sometimes flooded roads I drive on.

Otherwise its too much of a risk what with all this rain we sometimes get too.

I can't run a cold air intake cause no fender lining because of over sized tyres 205/60/15 which are needed on these bush roads.

15×7 bigger offset rims means we had to roll the fenders a lot and cut and bash a couple of things up in the wheel well.

U can see the nice tuck ar the rear. Front fenders had to be flared.
