    Hi guys,

I was just wondering how much discount you guys were able to get on the Jazz Vti-S manual version. I want to be able to know if I'm getting a good deal or not. Experiences with the GLi or Vti model would also be appreciated. THanks

Well I paid just over $22k for a VTi with mats in December 2003.

I got no discount because I was trading in, but you might get a bit off depending on what you'r going for, what they have in stock, and what time you buy. It is the end of the financial year so you might find some decent deals at the moment if you shop around.

Where are you from and what colour are you after?

I know of a black manual VTi-S for sale at the moment with charcoal 17inch rims. It's a 2003 model and its manual, but it's in Sydney.

I'm in Brisbane and I'm looking for a new car not second hand.
I currently have a deposit down on Black Vti-S manual for $24500 driveaway and floormats. What do you think about that? I think I got discount of a bit over $1000

Well RRP is $22,490 and from memory, mats are about $250. Metallic paint is another $259.

$24,500 seems decent, perhaps not a huge saving. I'm not 100% sure of ORCs in QLD though. But at least you're not paying RRP.

But seeing as though you've already put a deposit down, it doesn't make much difference now.

I put down a deposit subject to a test drive which means I can back out of it if I wanted to. I also put down a deposit on a Citroen C2 as well subject to a test drive. I will make a decision once I get to test drive the C2. The ORC is approximately $3000 which includes stamp duty, delivery charge, rego and CTP.

I'll be interested to see how you go with the C2. It's a kinda funky/quirky looking thing. I can't quite figure out if I like it or not...it stands out thoughthat's for sure.

Based on performance specs, the Jazz and C2 seem pretty much on par.

For me, I like the practicality of the Jazz as well. You can easily fit 4 adults in it, and with the rear seats folded down, there is HEAPS of space.

There are also more parts available for the Jazz if modding is your thing, plus they would be a bit easier to get than Citroen parts anyway.

I guess it just depends on what you want from a car. For me I wanted something practical, reliable and with decent aftermarket support.

I got my VTIS auto for about 26500 drive away in perth with mats and ashtray (I use it for coins). This was with a 13000 trade in too.

Hm... I think considering the price difference between auto and manual, we got pretty much the same deal.

    TypeG,
How did you manage to get such a bargain?
That's a great price for VTi. Only $1000 on top of RRP.

Should I push the salesman more?
He did try to tell us that even the deal we got at the moment is very good and difficult to better, but who knows how truthful salesman are?

BTW, does anyone know how much the accessories like the seat covers, front grille and steering wheel cover costs?

No idea about the costs for that stuff....best bet is to call a dealer.

Seriously, I would call a couple of dealers (maybe 3 or 4) and get prices for the car you want just to compare to the one you are looking at now...

I think Jazz is out of the question now. Just read an article which says it will receive a face lift sometime in October. I wouldn't want to buy a new car and see it get outdated. Bye Jazz LOL
