Never seen a ED with a D series NA doing better than mid 15's in Oz.
Mind you , the first statement referred to a NA light-medium modded D16. Nothing turboed or whatever lol
Nice engine the D16a8 but dosent have the support or potential that a B series does.

i wont be turbo charging the motor in any way not going to waste the money since im going to change the motor anywayz.. but because i work @ and engine building place, im going to see how far a simple D15B can be taken without spending a crazy amount of money

When it actually happens.. ill post up times n power figures

was at the test n tune at willowbank tonight.
    from 1 run i did 15.551 @ 89mph with 2.401 60ft

this is with intake, cat-back, light flywheel and hd clutch, gutted interior.
still with stock header and ecu.
this was on 14" goodyear eagle tyres (normal tyre pressure, bout 32ish psi), and didnt get to play around with damper etc.

i know i could deffinitely have improved the 60ft time and lowered the ET - but my mates car f'cked up so we spent the rest of the night running around fixing that.

goin back out in a few more weeks - hopefully with header! and hope to run more than once and improve on this time!!

    nice time dude...
I never took my EG down when i had a D16y1 in it but id say mid 15s at best...

Mind you best time the 1st time i went with my EG with the b18c in it was 15.0. It was not running pretty but..
I serviced it and pulled a 14.7.... felt bit better..

It only felt slightly quiker than D16y1..
    I cant c y a D16y1 or y8 couldnt do 14s???
With right mods and tune should easily do it...
