    Hey peeps,

My dad has decided to sell his 99 Toyota Tarago and he's expecting to get around 25 - 26k in return. Now he's planning to buy an Accord for around the 30k mark, it doesn't have to be new, it can be used. Can anyone point me to any direction? He's looking for a family car to be used for weekend drives? I heard dealerships in Sydney rip you off bigtime, so we'll probably go private. Any things to look for in particular? Any help would be awesome!

For around the 30K mark, you could get a standard Euro or Big Accord brand new.

What about the previous V6 model? They seem to offer pretty good value if you are after a family cruiser.

I've always liked them....but not sure about quality as they were a Taiwanese built Honda for the US market or something.

The previous V6 accord was built in Thailand.

Depending on the year, you could get a good deal on one of those. Dont forget though that the previous gen V6L was going for about 50k when new so dont expect it to drop to around 30 for a 1 or 2 year old one.
