HELP: Audio install on euro 2005 ?

    Hey Guys,
I'm purchasing an accord euro 2005 and was wondering if there's any articles on how to install an amp and sub onto the stock headunit?

Does the headunit have rca outputs to lead to the sub?
Also, issit easy to undo the panels to get behind the headunit ?

    Cheers

No there are no RCA outputs. You need to either:

    1) Buy an RCA adapter such as the "LC6 Six Channel Line Output Converter"
    2) Buy an Amp that can take normal speaker inputs. Have a look at the Audison SRx3, which takes normal speaker inputs and can power a sub and two speakers.

To get to the CD Changer connector on the headunit, you need to remove the Gearstick surround, then the tray, then the center compartment. Its not that hard, just a few screws and clips.

Issit as easy as plugging one end of the connector into the black box and the other end into the rear of the headunit and connecting the amp up to the rca's? If so, that looks easy as.

Do you know where i can purchase one of these ?

Just another question, this is called a "Soundgate SNHOND3 2003-07 Honda Changer Interface/Aux. input adapter". Does that mean that it only takes input and is not for output. Cause i'm assuming that if i want to add an amp onto my headunit, the rca ports should be OUTPUTS onto the amp ? Am i wrong ?

Yes its pretty much plug and play

Its a US product so you may need to ship one from the US.

Thanks eurodude, i'm not sure you saw my last section of my previous post.

Isn't the rca only for input and not output ?

DOH sry yes you are correct, the SNHOND3 is a line input device, not output.

What you want is a device that converts the stock speakers lines to low level RCA, like this device:

    use a LOC,

the ones i recommend which have little noise, and work great are

navone -$40 [ may seem very cheap, but its one that actually works, even beating many higher end ones ]
to buy the navone, go to http://www.mobileelectronics.com.au/...ewCat&catId=11

Rockford fosgate for more tunablity- but can cost $500-$1000 [in which you would rather install an aftermarket headunit instead]
