What events will you be doing CAMS or the other group AMSAG I have been working on a 1600 Datsun with a mate of mine and you dont see many Honda rallycars around there is Kates one from out at Orange and a few in SA that I know of,good luck and might see you at an event soon.

looks good mate, i have a ford escort 1600 rally car. had a race on the weekend and come 9th out of 17. not bad for my first race. have fun and dont get overconfident and hit a tree like someone did here on the weekend lol

There are getting to be a few Honda's around now on the rally scene. Kates one, MRT have there beast back (it was in WA for a few years) - 3 new EG's have been built in Canberra and the Collins clan in Sa have 4 or so cars (2 EGs and 2 EKs)

Mine is an ex Collins car.

Pretty much std (in comparison to what an be done)- Runs DMS suspension, Std B16A with a chip upgrade, K & N, ATS close ratio box, Carbonetic Carbon Fibre LSD, Chrome Moly Cage and a few other goodies.

Well good luck with your racing sounds like a good package to start out with.I have had dealings with the S.A clan but we wont go there .

Fun event for a first drive of the car.

Drove pretty conservativley for first few stages to get a few for the car - have a speed sensor problem (I need a new speed sensor loom plug - mines cracked - if any one has one!! - not the sensor - just the plug on the loom side - let me know.) So have VTEC switching on and off, bit of a pain.

Logged 177km/h on special stage 1 on wet gravel (which I think was out a little) reset computer and logged 165km/h on second pass through that bit of road (ss4). So car is pretty quick. We ended up with times between 9th and 16th out of 30 cars inc beating a few turbo 4wd cars.

All went well until a slight miss judgement on SS8 put me into a bank resulting in a bent lower control arm - nothing major - car is stripped and will be ready for rally lithgow in 2 weeks.
