    "new" look muffler tips.

    Hi.

As promised (although 1 day late), I have taken pics of both my exhaust tips.

Only the left one was damaged but they replaced the right one as well because they said they can't find the "old" style tips. But I've been on the lookout for Euros everywhere and they all got my "old" tips, even the MY07 ones at the Honda yards!

The difference is shown by the red arrows. The old tips are shorter and the outer pipe is flushed with the inner pipe at the bottom section; ie. at 6 o'clock.

Could someone please tell me where these tips came from?

    Thanks heaps.

If you are after the old tips, I still have them in my storage box, I am not using them since I put some aftermarket ones on

    Thanks curik.

The reason why I posted this is because I'm not sure if these are genuine Euro ones or not. Just worried if one day I come to sell my car it will affect it's value (maybe private buyers dont care, but trading in) and maybe warrantee issues too.

Not a chance of that happening.

Ah well.. i guess you guys are right... just really peed off if they used aftermarket stuff when it's done via insurance.

yeah i know what u mean
u expect everything to be 100% like it was from factory especially if insurance is paying to fix it

There was a thread on one of the US forums recently about where someone had changed their tips to the EuroR ones -- it's basically the same tip, but the mounting point is different so they sit out further to pass the body kit.

    Maybe that's what you've got...
