    Legitimate Recaro FS items

Not much of a biggie, but protecting the interests of Recaro equipped hondas from Factory - DC2R and DC5R owners.

i have noticed members (not traders) sometimes selling multiple sets of recaros, some from hondas.

Is there any way to check the autenticity of the sale? I.e. that item was not flogged off another Type R and sold as their own?

Serial numbers? Positive ID on the seats?

I'm a noob to recaros but it always seems kinda suss.

Similar to online trading venues: ie. tradingpost.com.au, carsguide.com.au, carsales.com.au etc...
We cant get involved in the transaction and policing of goods...we simply provide a medium for people to advertise.
We can only hope that members on this forum are just enough to be morally correct and respectable when selling items to other ppl.

I agree with MR Q on this one. It would mean in theory every item put up for sale would require some proof of purchase etc.

That being said, I have a brand new, in box dvd player for sale if you want it Jeff. Bought it off a guy in a pub last week .
See a good post? Give it a PQ point.

Agreed with Gball and Zdster here. Was just curious to know if there was an easy method to identify legitimacy (if thats a word) haha.

I'm planning to put hot red recaros in my accord one day.. just making sure

there is no way WE as normal people can prove anything.

I can go to say as much as a certain percentile of goods sold here , are STOLEN. But what proof do i have ?

As with anything , research it first. If in doubt , DONT BUY

would you sell a set of stolen recaro for $300 ?

i doubt anyone that steals them would sell for that cheap.

Most people that sell stolen merchandise don't sell it any cheaper, as they don't want to arouse suspicion. Thieves are smart.

Only if they were stolen in a nice way.

Perhaps those who are interested in the items should ask for serial numbers etc if they'd like to verify their history, to be compared in a thread with lists of serial numbers/details of stolen items (by the unfortunate ex-owners of items).

Not foolproof, not 100% accurate but would leave it up to the ex owners, sellers and buyers to take care of things, and alleviate some concerns.
