Dont do it... The guyz at honda have perfected VTEC...

Dont get one its a waste of money and is just there for the wank factor!!!

HONDA PERFECTED VTEC!!! IT DOESNT NEED 2 BE CHANGED/MODIFIED !!!!

If u whant 2 get a computer kind of thing maybe think of a apexi power fc... will be hard 2 come by as they have stoped making them but it is basicly a aftermarket ecu but has a hand controller for ur dash... so u can have ur car tuned and actually gain performance

If your car is stock then this holds true,
But once its modified with internals and what not, then it could come in handy!

But then in saying that, if you are gonna run proper management on a built motor, u'd get an ecu that controls it all anyways...eg. hondata, power fc etc.

yes as i mentioned above.... Lol

vtec controller pointless just get aftermarket (piggyback) ecu such as power fc and can have car tuned and everything done with one device rather then getting a vtec timer y0 and a piggyback ecu.... Lol

I got mine tuned.. check out my thread..

Because I got mine with the car, I only had to pay for tuning..
So it was worth it for me

But I don't know if I'd pay for the unit as well as tuning for those gains.

When the topic starter says 'VTEC controller' he does not say VAFC or any other Air Fuel Controller.

A 'VTEC controller' just modifys VTEC crossover, you cannot program AF ratios.

VAFC and any AFC is proven to give gains, no question about it.

If he does mean VTEC controller only, as he has said, then its a waste of time.

And in regard to why big names make these products? Its because they are smart and cash in with the people that want to feel cool switching over the crossover point. Good marketing.
