'89 ED Civic, D15b4 Motor, help with timing plz

    Hey all,

Just 2 quick questions, on my motor, if i turn the dizzy towards the firewall.. am I retarding or advancing the timing?

Also when I connect a timing light to check the timing, do I need to disable any sort of idle advance/retard? I vaguely remember having to jumper out a 2 pins on a plug?

    Thanks guys

yeah dude things have changed - its model specific

BTW move the dizzy towards the firewall = advance
Move towards the front of the car = retard

When the engine is hot if i disconnect the EAVC should I notice an idle drop or change?

    Thanks

    twin GX160's
dual carb systems dont have a 2 pin connector to bridge.

you unplug both vacuum lines frm the dizzy and plug them and then set the base timing.

careful dot to snap the vacuum tubes off the dizzy.
