I got 6.7 doing 90kmh on 6th gear on M4 to Blue Mountain... try to get it to 6.6 but it wouldnt budge, 2 ppl with aircond.

Normal outstation drive would be around 8. Normal town driving 10-10.5. Everytime I stop for petrol, it is 10.5-10.6

You measuring at the pump? Or using the fuel consumption meter? The meter is a bit optimistic.

Sorry to bring up an old topic/thread, but I bought a 03 Euro Lux Auto in July and have kept a log of my fuel Consumption and the Km's travelled. I have travelled 3070Km's and used 399.56Ltrs of fuel, either 95 or 98RON. Equates to approx 13Lt/100Km.

100% of my driving in and around the City, not much highway driving. Am I getting good fuel consumption? I'm thinking its a Little on the high side. Car has 73K Km's on the clock.

13L/100km is about right for an auto and a driver with a heavy foot using 1/2 to 3/4 throttle to take off from traffic lights. Usually, it's about 11.5 to 12.0L/100km for 100% city driving.

Refer to the meter, never bother to measure....

I picked up my New Accord Euro Luxury on thursday night, Took her for a drive down to phillip island on cruise she was doing 7.3L/100km. Short trips she was doing 8.6-8.8L/100km (By the way, This is an Auto).

Exactly the same here. I got 800km out of a tank on one trip. Not bad. I wasnt crawling either. 9l/100km in town driven hardish. Sub 7-8 on the highway.

BTW its POINTLESS stating anything about your consumption if you fail to mention Auto or MT.
I went to the modded XR5 Turbo with Mods - the dark side.....BOOOOST!

I think I've posted before but after a bit more driving (at the 33k mark currently) ...

Mix of 80% freeway driving at 100km/h and 20% surburbian in between, manage to do about 8.1 - 8.5L/100k in an automatic. However, I accelerate pretty slow off the mark and have a very steady foot on the throttle to keep fuel use constant (or use cruise control).

Let my mum drive my car for 200km and the way she constantly accelerates / decelerates (even during normal driving, she has an unsteady foot on the pedal) and the meter read's 10.2L/100km.

My car's run BP ultimate since i got it from the dealer, using Mobil 1 gold 10W-30 and have new Yoko C-drives at 36PSI if anyone wants to know the other variables :P

Did a trip from Brissie to Gympie and back a couple of months back. Filled up with Ultimate (the only fuel the car has ever used) before we left and got 6.3 l/100km avg 101 klm/hr on the trip meter. Filled up when we got back and calculated consumption with the bowser and got same result!!! Had luggage, wife and baby on board. Generally get around 8.5 - 9.0 around town. We have the manual transmission with 9000 klms on the clock. Very happy with the car.

Best fuel consumption to date driving from Sydney to Canberra and back
    710km on 55 litres of BP 98 = 7.7litres/100km
With bits of thrashing and city driving
