I own a 94' Integra GSi and I am planning to change my transmission from Automatic to a Manual.
I am expecting to pay roughly $1500-$2000 to get it all installed and running.

Could anyone help explain to me what I would need, where should I get this done(Sydney), etc.

just the gearbox, no need to change the ecu if you dont want, most auto ecu's convert themselves to manual but not the other way around.

Wouldn't there be more to than just the gearbox?

    Like Clutch, Flywheel, etc.

In terms of cost, wouldn't you be better off just selling off the car and buying another manual '94 integra? Unless your teg is heavily modified or is unique.

Who knows you might get away with a '95 integra or even a vitr...

Yeh it would be better off, to just sell the car and get a vti-r.
But I've already gone through so much with this car, it may not be heavily modified, heck its pratically stock. Though I've got a nice looking kit, and set of 17" mags.
So I guess, if I did sell this car what would I get for it?
94 gsi, hmm probably $12-$14g's if lucky?
And I pratically bought it for $18g's nearly in 2000. Rorted I know but thats my mistake I was 16 at the time, and didn't know what I was thinking or even knew the basic car prices.

Oh well, would $2000 cover everything to make the change to manual?

Some models drive shafts or inner [acronym:d151ad2824="Constant Velocity"]CV[/acronym:d151ad2824]'s & speedo drive are different too...
    Best advice, as above...

Damn, how much you think I could get my car sold for?

    Its clocked about 125,000kms now.

It's been crashed but never actually damaged anything past the body of the car, just minor crashes and then I repaced it with a body kit anyways.

Its RED, maybe that could contribute to the cost lol.

Well if you are skilled, you can sell it for say around $12-13K

If you haggle enough you can get a 94 GSi manual for around $10-11K, probably with similar >100K's

Or would it be wise to loan about $10k off the bank or something and put it ontop of my car sale price to get a TypeR?

Just to make my decision alot clearer, would anyone of happened to change their teg auto to a manual how much did they pay to get it done?
I dont really care about performance wise, just the fact that I want it to be manual.
