Rear Diff noise in 2000 CRV

Can anyone tell me why Honda currently recommends Honda Dual Pump System Fluid for the rear diff of my 2000 CRV when my owners manual and the placard on the diff itself says to use Honda Premium Automatic Transmission Fluid?

1 litre of honda dpsf fluid should fix it. If it doesnt flush it again. Honda AU has ugraded the fluid from auto trans fluid.

Thanks for the response. I bought the DPSF on saturday and did a refill, took it for a quick drive and then refilled it again. Noise is gone. Honda only supplies the DPSF in four litre containers at $98!! At least ive got 2 litres spare for the next time the diff needs a fluid change!

Honda must have had issues with the diff in these models to change the spec to use DPSF instead of Premium ATF.
