ok heres the story, i have an ls teg and i just killed my gearbox, the motor has done about 230 000 and has small leak in head gasket. so instead of just replacing the gearbox im very strongly contemplating a b16a conversion but one of the places i rang saaid they would put in a b20a non vtec for $2000 what do you guys reckon?

i reckon u shuold just get a crv and see how they drive, why bother

is that 2G including a new gearbox, the crv box is 4wd and wont work in your car.

I know of a few people who have done a B20b conversion into EG civics.

If you have a breeze or GL, its kinda worth it. Mate's of mine ran out of money doing the B20b/16a conversion, and left the B20b as is. It matches up to the B16a gearboxes no problem *from memory) and deliveres a fairly decent drive. At about 110kw and 200Nm, they are a decent upgrade, but don't open up many doors for the future without the [acronym:3c8902f57d="Valve Timing and lift Electronic Control"]VTEC[/acronym:3c8902f57d] heads. My mates have decided to save up and finished the job, but I think we did the conversions for about $2400 in the garage with 5 people

WTF are half of you guys going on about? LOL!

poid is the only one who bothered to realise the guy is talking about a B20A...

dude, just go with the B16A - you need to buy an Integra Xsi "half cut" from an importer, these go from between 1750 and 2500...

it is almost a dirtect bolt-in conversion in a LS
    B20VTEC - since 2002
