    Water temp Gauge question

    just a quick question....
    I have an autometer pro comp water temp gauge, can i piggy back it off the stock honda one?
    yes or no / are they gauged differently?

    Yeh, must use the sender that comes with the meter.

    You can also tap a thread into the housing on the engine where the top hose is. This is what I did. Total stealth.

    Doesn't the top hose only flow when the thermostat is open?

    I have the sender thats come with it, i was worried id have to disconnect my stock one and screw the aftermarket one into the pump.. i didn't even realize that you could get a separator on the hose where the sender can sit :O

    You only get flow anywhere when the thermostat is open.

    B series thermostat is in the engine housing on the 'bottom' hose.

    Bottom line is that you want to get a temperature reading when its at its hottest, which is when it exits the motor, between motor and radiator.
