    Tyres / price

    Hi,

I am newbie here, but glad I found the forum. I have a CRV Sports. Year 2000 with 51,000 km on the clock (A great buy) but it needs some new tyres. I use it 60% short commuting and 40% off road with a camper trailer. Bush camping in national parks.

Currently has Pielli Scorpion STR P205/70R/15 96H M+S tyres, which have been fine.

    Questions:

    1. Would you recommend these tyres, have you a recommendation.
    2. I have had this car for 3 months, very happy with it. Needed a new radiator and thermostat. What should I look for in regards to servicing and potential problems.

    Thanks heaps in advance.

    Tony

PS. I can see from the other threads I might be very happy here, lots of solid advice, and help. I hope I can help out likewise.

If your in Sydney pm destrukshn who can give you a quote on honda genuine parts for your thermostat/radiator.

If your using offroad, suggest you buy a tyre suited to off road and street use....

just the usual oil changes..check the manual if you have it, as it will tell you the regular servicing intervals and what needs to be checked

    Thanks again

    Thanks Sunkymonkey,

I have the service manual - all 1400 pages of it.

It seems a fiarly easy car to service, so i will just keep it up to date

    Thabnks again,

    Tony

i dought ull find that thread usefull as ur after a offroad/road tyre

prob all of the info in the above thread is street/track tyres

just go to ur local tyre shops, get a few different quotes

im gona take a wild guess and say it shoodnt cost u more than $800-$850 fitted ,balanced and aligned for a descent set of tyres with similar proportions to ur stocks
