    Injen intake waterproof?

    Hi guys, im abit worried..just installed an injen CAI for my integra type S.. and my concern at the moment is water.. is injen intake waterproof?

    i dont know what the intake would try to prove to the water though?

    but in answer 2 your actual question,
    no its not water proof. ive heard it is quite hard 2 get hydrolock,
    its usually a case of actually being submerged in water. for instance, a pot hole,
    injen is a good reputable brand, i wouldnt be afraid 2 install it.
    Feel the power aswell

    NOT waterproof at all. I have seen with my own eyes a similar design to injen that has sucked water in in 2 separate occasions , on teh SAME motor.

    Injen makes a bypass valve i believe to counteract this possibility.

    injen make a water repelant sock that covers the filter

    they are called hydroshield pre-filters

    are you serious, im worried cuz i might wet it when i wash my car or wen it rain.. my engine is still brand new.. only done like 13000K..

    it's pretty hard to hydrolock your car.

    If you see a big puddle on the left side of the road, go to the right side. If you see a big puddle in front covering all lanes, pull to the side with your hazards on and stop. That's all you need to know about avoiding hydrolocking, short of avoiding driving in the rain.
