ok before i had a k&n universal ram pod air filter on my d16a8, now i didnt do any piping at all. All i did was took off my original air filter and whack the air filter in there..............and that was fine for a year.......

the only problem was since im running a stock hose it wasnt getting any cold air at all.......... it was getting the engine heat

so tonight, i just put back the original air filter box, and ram a cold air induction hose in the bottom of it.......so it would get cold air........into the box, so my next mission is to buy a k&n box air filter............

but i need advise.......ram pod / box air filter???

For simplicity go the replacement panel filter.........

If you got abit of money to burn get an adapter to fit the pod style k&N and modify so the pod is sealed off in your airbox and keep the piping that goes into the bottom of the airbox and re-route some piping from the front of the car to the airbox. Get rid of reasonators as you go...... if possible look for big white tank looking things.

There is also a search function on this forum that works quite well.
