so i found out ive got no cat in my exhaust system

so i had a look at the undercarriage of my car while it was up on a hoist at the mechanics today. and a friend pointed out that it had no cat. mechanic also confirmed this. seems that when it was this way when i bought the car. seems i have a custom exhaust from the header onwards.

i had to go over the pits on one occasion and nothing was said by the inspector? maybe the inspector thought my resonator was a cat. lol.

so are cars made before 1995 exempt from having a cat? or am i just really lucky?

i would also like to take this chance to say ive done 520km on one tank and i still have about 1/8 or just under that of fuel left!!!

u're just lucky...which is good, however u'd better fit a cat soon b4 ur luck runs out...

do u do highway driving or city driving all the time? if u say city driving, then it'd be a very good fuel consumption

is fitting and buying a cat expensive? any recommendations of any brands or models?
