    brake pads????

    hey guys,

    i have just tried to fit up a set of brake pads for an EK4 onto my EK1 CXI and they dont fit.

    can someone fill me in on the JDM equivalent of the EK1 CXI?

    ps. kinda frustrating spending $150 on pads and they dont fit.......

    if you have the SOHC engine try the EK1 GLi CXi pads.

    speak to the dealer 1st and make sure you can take them back if the dont fit.

    $150 for pads?!? what brand r they?!?

    i spend no more than $90 on bendix ultimum supply n fitting...

    ahh k...
    the bendix ones r just for street/road use...not sure about temp range...but still does a good job...

    im looking for a set of pads that are rated up to 400 - 450 degrees or performance street pads that work from 0 degrees

    if i m not wrong 96-98 ek cxi front brake caliper n rotor are a bit smaller as compared to 96-00 gli sedan n 99-00 cxi.

    i have part numbers for the bendix pads and the endless pads... so getting pads isnt the issue. its just if i have to exchange the pads for new ones what japanese model code lines up with my EK1?

    from memory

    ek4 = db1262*
    ek1 = db1259*

    they look exactly the same but the db1259's are slightly smaller

    these are bendix/ferodo part no's.
