I have the Ipod xcarlink and attempted to install in a Euro with sat nav. I pulled the covers surrounding the gear ash tray etc and removed the DVD unit but I couldn't find the port to plug the xcarlink cord in.

Has anyone xcarlink where the car has sat nav?
Thanks!
I think it only works with non sat nav Euros.PM aaronng he has one i'm sure he'll know
I installed the xcarlink today and it works like a charm. I followed the manufacturer installation instructions but they didn't give any detail about the satnav version. You have to remove the satnav screen and DVD unit to find the port.
You dont need a paint scraper to remove the top of the console (the air vents). The easy way, and the way that wont scratch your car is to put your hands either side of the sunlight sensor at the back of that panel and pull it towards the rear of the car. the whole thing slides back and off pretty easily.
Always check that all the clips are still on any panels you pull out, if not then go looking for them in the dash and put them back. You will get all sorts of rattles otherwise.
Do any of you guys get the error where a song is playing and then all of a sudden the display on the unit flashes CDC 8-99. Sometimes it recovers and the song continues playing. Other times it freezes up and I have to power off the CD unit and unplug / replug my USB key to get it working again.
