Since we're coming from the JDM header, I'm guessing the upgrades won't be quite as large as those experienced by DC5 owners since their stock 4-1 headers are a total disaster. That said, even if there is a tiny gain to be had, I'll probably pick up a set of those KiddRacing's, given how damn cheap they are (I already dropped 2k on RM01a and a GruppeM so I might as well do the headers too right?! :P)
Jibz,
Here is my dyno sheet from about a year ago, car was placed on dyno before the installation of T1R Headers and Injen CAI, and a comparison made after install.
Cheers

Thanks C1v1c, thats a marked improvement, very impressive! And thats without a Kpro or any aftermarket ECU?

Won huge 17kw power gain for only I/H/E?
Stock
162.1HP (120.8KW)
I/H/E
184HP (137.2KW)
Hrere's my stock run 164.4HP (122.6kw) from comparison when I get the KiddRacing header installed

American dynos running stock JDM K20a's with stock airbox header and exhaust make ~140kw. consistently. Aussie dynos seem to read lower across the board.
Now, I don't know which is more accurate, but if you go with the assumption of 15% drivetrain loss in a FWD, the american Dynos seem to be much more accurate.
215hp/1.34 = 161KW.
161KW/.85 = 136KW ATW when stock.
Yet all the dynos I see are barely breaking 120kw with maybe intake and header or exhaust. gahhhh!
At least the dynos read consistently lower and you can still determine differences arising from the various mods, even though we don't get the satisfaction of seeing larger numbers :P.

Most Hondas its 25% drivetrain loss
I believe the the Aussie dyno is closer the correct power figure

Any reason for the large amount of drivetrain loss? Thats as much loss as 4wd and we're powering wheels closest to the engine!

Still without any aftermarket ECU. I am awaiting a few more parts before car is sent away for a few months to hae the work done. As of a few weeks ago mods included I/H/E along with 70mm Throttle Body and RRC Intake Mani, to be dynod in the next few days on same dyno. I will post the results after.

Na 4wd have up to 40% drivetrain loss
Honda's 20-25% is quite good infact

awesome awesome! I think you'd really need a Kpro next to really bring out the potential in all those items. Probably gain ~20KW more out of whatever you get with all those mods in.

Here's the problem I have with CIVIC's number... not saying there not true!
Guys with Cams I/H/E and kpro are only making 140-150 max and alot are round the 140 mark
So for the extra huge cash outlay with added cams and ECU and not seem much more on top???

I've seen graphs of cars with gains of that much that had IHE and adding a Kpro.
A friend with IHE + k100 was at 160kw. He recently got changed the BC spec 3 to a fujitsubo and 2 years later a with dirty pod and almost dead spark plugs, it's making 140+kw so needs a retune.
Now, regardless of the dyno outputs etc, the only differences between our cars were his toda headers and the k100 and his car pulled a LOT harder than mine (we switched cars too). As a reference, my EP3 is equal to, if not faster than the 4-5 other EP3s I've dragged with so my car can be said to be healthy. So for me at least, I see value in going kpro. Now if my car transforms after getting the header and the majority of the gain is from that, then I may reconsider. But from my experiences, the ECU accounts for alot!
