    Smile Removing EK seats???

    Hey guys,

Can anyone help me with how to remove the back and front seats of my EK sedan... I got some seat covers that i want to install but will only fit if i remove the seats out of the car.

Anyone got any pics or step by step DIY anywhere???

    Thanks,

    Johnny.

it should be like the majority of civics. 4 bolts for the front seats.

and 2 hooks at the front thats hooked to the body of the car with one bolt for the bum area. the back rest should just fold down and just unhook from the bottom kinda fing.

ill take pics for you when i get home if it's anything like the ek hatch

yeah, move the seat as far back as possible and u'll see the ends of the rails, u might have a plastic covering for the ends but u can easily remove them by popping them off...
then once thats off its just bolds that u need to loosen, once the bolts r off, slide the seat forward as much as possible, sit in the back seat and repeat the same process...

To remove rear seat in EG sedan, fold down the middle part and undo the 4 bolts....

Can then remove the rear side parts by undoing at the bottom, and top bolts and sliding up - then forwards. There are strange shaped clips that slide into rectangular holes.

    Bottom bolt...

    Top bolt...

    Remove top skirting...

Rectangular holes are located at the front under bottom seat on both sides... remove bolts from rear of bottom seat at the rear and pull seat forward and upwards. - Its held in by the 'S' like clips.

    Hope it helps a lil.

Wait, you need a diy on how to remove the front seats?

No offence, but if you cant remove them without help I wouldnt be doing them at all. When you put them back in you need to torque them down and if removing 4 bolts is an issue I cant imagine you using a torque wrench.
See a good post? Give it a PQ point.
