How often do you redline? What's your normal shift?

just like to know your driving style, at what rpm do you usually shift when cruising?

and how often do you redline?

I shift at about 2.5 - 3k when driving normally, and i redline at least once a day VTEC!! lol

    what about you guys!

I live very close to work so it is normally a quick sprint down the road to get my honda medacine for the day, changing around 6-7k.
Will normally change around 3 in town etc.

I have never redline on 4th gear or higher before..... cant risk getting a huge fine or license suspended.

i like changing around 3000-3500 rpm normally.

VTEC maybe once or twice every few mths.. but that's only when the engine is properly warmed up for at least 10-15 minutes.

4500-5000 rpm maybe once or twice every few weeks. It's good to let the engine experience around it's max torque point once every few weeks I think.

There are too many people who baby their car way too much during break in and it's not good for the engine performance.

I normally shift at around 3500rPM but ever since I got my K&N typhoon CAI on there its been more like 5000 and I hit redline at least once or twice every trip it cant be good for the engine but it sounds soooo good ! ohh and my fuel consumption has gone out the window.

So true! Once my engine's properly warmed up, I'll just about always shift at no less than 5K. I honestly don't think it's bad for the engine which was clearly designed to rev - Honda is reknowned for overengineering.

I was careful about ensuring some decent revving during the break-in period and ever since it's just so easy and natural to get to redline.

Redline is your friend (of course, revlimiter is not a friend).
