    oil change for fn2 civic

    hi,
i know this is probably an odd question for you guys but i'm wondering when I should change the oil in my fn2.
I've had it for about 5 weeks now and done about 1400km.
I took it for the first service last week but there was no mention of an oil change in the log book.
The next service is 6months/10,000km. Should I do an oil change before hand myself or should it be ok to leave it until the regular service ?...
    Thanks.

dont think so.. just check the oil frequently since this car drinks oil, mine has 8000km but the oil level is still good. Yes the first service is only for inspections to make sure everything is going fine. I think you should leave it to the dealer for oil change. It is a good idea to have a spare oil in your garage to top up. I've read in civic type r uk forum that this car do use quiet alot of oil

depends how you drive it I guess...
I think the oil they have in there is very thin run in oil
after 6000km and 3 track days I found mine had used a bit of oil
(not to mention the brake pads were shot)
So gave it a thorough service and some thicker oil
I would think after the 10000Km oil change, it would stop using as much oil
