    odyssey fuel consumption

unfortunately it looks like i m gunna have to sell the love of my life...my 02 civic and get an odyssey as the missus has ot another one on the way.

fuel efficiency is very important and i m looking at gtting a 1999 to 2002 model odyssey. either 6cyl or 4 cyl

just want to kno from anyone who drives on, what fuel efficiency do you get, or where can i find the specs from honda?

    i found this,

    154kW/270Nm 3.0 V6-engined V6L variant five-speed auto gearbox

    110kW/206Nm 2.3-litre VTEC four-speed automatic,

but still dont know how much fuel hungry the v6 is

if u dont thrash it around, itll do fine

just keep in mind its a big car

i had a 2005 model for 2 days and it was pretty good on fuel, that was the 2.4L 4cyl

but i reckon go with the v6 mate, ull need the torque, its worth the extra cost in fuel

the new odysseys are well matched with the 2.4L 4cyl

id imagine the old odysseys wont be so good with the 2.2, lacking some power IMO

yea thanx u guys, i did a bit more looking and from various sites, it actually looks like the v6 and the 4cly use "reletively" the same fuel (only 1litre/100kms difference in city driving and 0.2litre/100km on highway).

probably cos the v6 uses more cos of the extra 2 cylinders and the 4cly uses same cos its a weaker engine pushing a heavy car.

2000-2003 model odyssey from aus honda site (page 9 for specs)
