Dude anyone and I mean anyone, knows that Preludes are faster than Euros (both manual and stockish).
CUL8R or myself will prove this point if needed

I tried about 2 monthes ago, not launching at all, and I got 8.2 seconds.
All this is going by the speedo, so I don't know how accurate it would be.
I timed my car 0-100 with 3/4 tank of fuel, passenger, ONLY mods were Type S intake and K&N Panel Filter... I got 0-100 in 8.2

This was launching from about... 3000 I think. Bit of wheelspin, but not heaps...

I didn't take it into the red between shifts tho, so if I did that/stayed on VTEC a bit more, didn't have the passenger, and had less fuel, I think I could get it down a bit

Um no. Any manual Vtir lude will beat a manual Euro(stockish for both)same driver skills.
Just check the time slips on this forum. quickest is 15.5 for the euro and theres a few mods for that 1. Others were like 16.1-16.3. Over .5 to .7 slower than when I was completely stock and was still learning to drive.

if you don't believe me ask vtc, he owns a vti-R 5th gen with atts, and he can attest to the fact that a euro and his car are close acceleration wise.

also, the k24 has more potential to gain power with simple boltons then does the h22a - the 6 speed transmission helps a bit aswell.

I'm not tryin to start an argument or dismiss your opinion.. this is just my experience and what i've come to believe

Atts are actually slower in acceleration than a Vtir due to the weight of the Atts unit. Im not saying that theres a huge difference, but a Prelude would be still faster, even if its a little. It would be like comparing a Vtir Lude to a DC2R in terms of acceleration.

yea not denying that what you say is true... from the start i have made clear it is a model with atts. A standard 6mt euro vs atts lude = quite compareable, my case ends there and i think you can agree with that?

so far this discussion has been about real world acceleration and engine power (i think)... lets not go into street racing wiht this thread, street racing = lock.

lets just take this to the track to find out. you have a few hidden mods that help you pick up chris.

but at the moment in stock form the prelude will lose against any slightly modded car because it chokes up high..

    yea true

i still think it's fair to say that the euro's potential is a bit underrated.

When you get your exhaust and new intake on (if you are still getin a new intake?) we'll have to hit the strip and get a time slip or two.
