    Removing factory radio from EK

Hey guys, as title states, tryna remove the factory radio/casett player haha, I cant work out where to start, I cant see no clips on side to eject the unit as some of today's more modern ones, nor any screws or anything holding them from what I could see around the back of the dash. So anyone that has replaced their quite historic player with a new headunit, let me know how you got it out , thanks

theres only 2 screws under the back of the stereo...
pull your ashtray and bottom center console out and you have more then enough room to access the 2 screws and push the tape deck out

    will do ricer, thanks

i recently had to access the back of the headunit to run RCA's as I changed my audio setup. The EK is a pain in the arse... had to remove the glovebox, and also the panel under the steering column just to get to 4 screws holding the centre console...

furthermore once u get it all out, you have very little space to move your hand up to find the screws holding the headunit in place (as its at the back)

remove ashtray and assy and remove two 8mm bolts, pull unit out. cage the new one in and wire- done. total time 15 min - 10 if I'm moving.
